Big Sky Restaurants

Big Sky may be known more famously for the Big Sky Ski Resort built by the pioneering newscaster Chet Huntley back in 1973. However few realize what outstanding restaurants and cafes can be found in this scenic town which is nestled high in the mountain meadows.

The Cabin Bar & Grill

Experience rustic elegant dining and enjoy beautiful mountainside views overlooking snow covered slopes in winter and grassy tree covered hills in the summer. During the winter season simply ski in and ski out from Silverknife run on Andesite Mountain for a hearty skiers lunch and après ski specials. Enjoy superb cuisine nightly featuring regional ingredients, hand cut steaks, wild game and fresh fish. They offer a full bar and extensive wine list and a children’s menu is also available.

The Timbers at Moonlight Lodge

The Timbers Restaurant, Bar and Deli offers lunch, dinner and libations in the spectacular Moonlight Lodge. The award-winning Timbers Restaurant combines contemporary American flare with local favorites such as Montana natural beef, elk, and buffalo. Reservations are recommended. For something a bit more casual, try the gourmet deli or hearty bar menu. Sandwiches, salads and soups are always made to order, fresh and delicious.

The Wrap Shack

The Wrap Shack serves a fast, delicious and healthy option for lunch and dinner. They make their salsas and sauces from scratch using only the freshest ingredients. They also serve ice cold beer and oh-so-good margaritas!

Half Moon Saloon & Restaurant

Just 3 miles south of Highway 64 in Big Sky, a visit to the Half Moon Saloon & Restaurant is a must when staying in Big Sky. As the newest live music venue in the area, the Half Moon combines great entertainment with river and mountain views second to none. To compliment your experience, The Half Moon offers a unique menu including daily specials as well as the infamous Montana baby back ribs smoked and Bar-B-Qued to perfection.

Rainbow Ranch Lodge

The Rainbow Ranch Lodge’s restaurant has received much acclaim over the years and is home to Montana’s largest wine list. Using the finest and freshest foodstuffs available, Chef Donohoe combines local, regional, and international cuisine to create a truly unique and imaginative menu. Wild game, Montana steaks and fresh seafood are just a few of his specialties.

Allgoods Bar & Grill

Allgood’s is Big Sky’s only true Barbecue house. The recipes are steeped in the finest tradition of Alabama & Florida slow cookin’, homemade, mouthwatering barbeque. Dick Allgood was blown up to Montana by Hurricane Andrew, where he landed fully on his feet with an idea to bring Southern-style cooking home to Big Sky.
